The Beginning

Countless times I have thought about creating my own blog, and each time I stopped myself for a plethora of reasons. I don’t know if I was apprehensive or if I just did not know what to write, but here it is. Here is the blog chronicling my research and experiences. Here you will find commentaries on John Harvey Kellogg, The Battle Creek Sanitarium, Intercultural Transfer, and anything else to do with my PhD work. Hopefully, more will come soon.

  1. Austin, I wish you great success with your work about John Harvey Kellogg, M. D. Just a thought that I want to share now: For many years, it was a routine of the Battle Creek, Michigan police to run the kids out of the “kellogg Mansion” as it was known — the abandoned home of Kellogg. I was one of those kids, and I knew every nook and cranny of the place. Anyway, I remember there was an old tombstone laying on it’s side in the basement. I found it odd and wondered why it was there. I wish I could remember what it said. More later. Gary (yes, the same one that sold some Kellogg books on eBay).
